This shirt is 100% Cotton and made in Israel. Maccabee is a Czech Pilsener brewed in Israel and is named after Judas Maccabeus, or Judah the Maccabee. In 165 BC, Judas Maccabaeus started the revolt against the Seleucid overlords of Judea. After defeating them militarily, he entered Jerusalem in triumph and cleansed the Jewish Temple, reestablishing traditional Jewish worship there. Judas' victory over the Seleucids is celebrated each year at Hanukkah, and every time the Maccabee shirt is worn.
